Located only a half-hour south of Boston, the town of Easton, Massachusetts is a rapidly growing business area with shopping plazas, small businesses, supermarkets, and restaurants. Easton has its own middle and high schools and is home to Stonehill College, a small Catholic liberal arts school. A portion of the town is in Borderland State Park, and Easton is actively restoring its community and landmarks. Part of Easton’s heritage and many of its namesakes come from the Ames Family, who owned the Ames Shovel Company in 1803 and made the shovels used in laying the Union Pacific Railroad.
