Mendon, Massachusetts is part of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, which is located in Central Mass. and represents the oldest industrialized region of the United States. Mendon is home to Lydia Taft, the first female American voter. The largest zoo in Massachusetts is housed in Mendon. The Southwick Zoo attracts many people, but it doesn’t attract as many as the Annual Country Fair and the Strawberry Festival. The twin drive-in movie theater in Mendon is one of only three in the entire state. Mendon is a small town near the Rhode Island border with a lot of charm and character.
