Welcome to Winchendon, MA. The Central Massachusetts town of Winchendon includes two villages; Waterville and Winchendon Springs.

The Winchendon State Forest is located within town lines, as well as the Murdock-Whitney House Museum. Winchendon is well known for its giant rocking horse. Built in 1912 by The Converse Toy Company, this 12 foot tall gray hobby horse is known locally as Clyde. Made from nine pine trees, Clyde is an enlarged copy of the toy company’s #12 rocking horse. Many years ago, the original Clyde was destroyed. A replica has been made and is on display in a covered pavilion.
